Tunnel Maintenance to Create Rail Delays, Bus Substitution Over 4-Day Period in Early June, Effective June 9-12, 2022

Rail commuting throughout the DART system - especially between Pearl/Arts District and SMU/Mockingbird stations - will take a little longer over an upcoming 4-day span, as the agency conducts important maintenance work in the North Central tunnel. TUNNEL CLOSURE DATES: Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday morning, June 9, and conclude Sunday evening, June 12, with normal rail service resuming Monday, June 13. BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE: Special charter buses that are black and displaying a "Rail Shuttle" directional sign will board at the red Rail Disruption bus stops northbound on Pearl Street at Pearl/Arts District Station and on the upper level at SMU/Mockingbird Station; stops will be made at Cityplace/Uptown Station east (northbound) and west (southbound) portals. RAIL SYSTEM CHANGES: Red and Blue line trains operating from the south and north will turn back at Pearl/Arts District and SMU/Mockingbird stations respectively. Orange Line trains from DFW will continue over Green Line trackage and terminate at Buckner Station on all trips, requiring passengers with destinations along North Central to transfer at Pearl/Arts District Station. Green Line routing will remain unchanged. All lines will be operating on slightly modified schedules due to the additional time required for turnbacks; these schedules will be available via the DART trip planner. ALTERNATE BUS SERVICE: DART reminds that Bus Routes 3, 105, 209 and 249 also provide service between Downtown Dallas and SMU/Mockingbird Station; schedules and details available at DART.org. We apologize for these temporary delays as we perform the necessary upgrades to guarantee our riders a safe and reliable system. Remember to consult the DART Trip Planner or call 214-979-1111 for details and updates.
