Memorial Day 2021 Schedule for DART and TRE

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will follow a Sunday schedule on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, while the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will not operate. Note: on Monday, May 31, buses will replace train service on the Red Line between Dallas Zoo and Westmoreland stations for demolition work for the Interstate 35E reconstruction project. The rail shutdown will be in effect for four consecutive weekends from May 22 through June 12. Buses will run every 20 minutes between affected stations. More information at https://ift.tt/2qccSUF

Buses to Replace Weekend Red Line Train Service Between Dallas Zoo and Westmoreland Stations May 22 Through June 13, Beginning Saturday, May 22, 2021. Note: the bus bridge will also be in effect on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31.

Red Line passengers will want to allow extra time for their weekend commutes starting Saturday, May 22, when buses replace train service between Dallas Zoo and Westmoreland stations. The rail shutdown will begin at 1 a.m. on four consecutive Saturdays - May 22 & 29, June 5 & 12 - with regular service resuming at 4 a.m. on the following Mondays. Please note the bus bridge will also be in effect on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. Buses will run every 20 minutes between affected stations. The service interruption will allow TxDOT crews to complete demolition work during Interstate 35E reconstruction. We apologize for the inconvenience.

May Service Change Makes Three Bus Detours Permanent, Effective May 17, 2021

Three bus detours in the DART service area will become permanent when service changes occur Monday, May 17, 2021. Route 35 - Due to the closure of Harwood Street at Interstate 45, buses will continue to use South Blvd. and Ervay/Colonial routing to/from MLK, Jr. Blvd. Route 374 - Westbound service to Lake Highlands Station will remain on Walnut Hill Lane, Mapleridge Road and Plano Road, with Estate Lane becoming one-way eastbound. Route 501 - With the opening of Hidden Ridge Station, buses eastbound to Irving Convention Center Station will enter the new station and board using Bay 5; buses traveling in the opposite direction will board and discharge passengers across Meadow Creek Drive. New timetables reflecting these route changes will be onboard buses soon. Scheduled arrival and departure times will be unaffected. Thank you for riding DART.
