December 5th and 6th Orange Line Weekend Closure Canceled

Construction of the new Hidden Ridge Station in Irving will NOT require an additional weekend of bus substitution on the Orange Line between Irving Convention Center and North Lake College stations on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6.

Orange Line Weekend Closures Extended Into December, Effective December 5-6, 2020

Construction of the new Hidden Ridge Station in Irving will require an additional weekend of bus substitution on the Orange Line, between Irving Convention Center and North Lake College stations on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6. Customers are reminded that the new revised schedule also includes the Friday after Thanksgiving and to allow extra time for travel on November 27 as well.

Downtown Garland Dropoff Location Moved to South Lot, Effective Tuesday, November 17, 2020

Due to continued construction at Downtown Garland Station, the pickup/dropoff location for rail passengers has been temporarily relocated from the north (Walnut Street) side to the south parking area. Customers will be able to access the rail platform via the sidewalk on Fifth Street. The work is expected to conclude by November 30. Please exercise caution in and around construction areas.

DART Announces Thanksgiving Holiday Service Schedule

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) buses, light rail trains and the Dallas streetcar services will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thurs., Nov. 26, and a Saturday schedule Fri., Nov. 27 for North Texas riders. The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will not operate Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26 and will provide Saturday service on Friday, Nov. 27. DART and TRE holiday changes will continue until regular scheduled transit service resumes Saturday, Nov. 28.

IH-635 Lane Closure To Affect Bus Route 467 Service to South Garland, Effective Thursday, November 12, 2020

The permanent shutdown of the U-Turn lane on IH-635 between Jupiter and Garland roads will place Route 467 on detour as it approaches South Garland Transit Center, effective Thursday, November 12, 2020. Buses traveling north on Jupiter will turn right on McCree, then right on Executive Drive, left on Northwest Highway and left on Shiloh to reach the transit center. Southbound service to Buckner Station will be unaffected, meaning customers will still be able to access stops on McCree and the IH-635 service road between Shiloh and Jupiter. A final determination on Route 467 alignment will be made when system-wide service change take effect in January 2021.

Bus Stop Consolidation Planned for Routes 404, 409, 466, 467 and 583

For a better customer bus riding experience, DART will be consolidating bus stops. Concentrating on better locations will result in faster bus service, fewer stops and starts and better maintenance of those stops that remain. Through the end of November, DART is requesting passenger input on the bus stops for routes 404, 409, 466, 467 and 583. Special signs will be posted on all bus stops proposed for consolidation. Bus Boarding Bay Changes At East Transfer Center, Effective Monday, November 16, 2020

The closure of Pearl Street between Live Oak and Pacific in Downtown Dallas will cause a change in bus boarding for customers at DART's East Transfer Center, effective Monday, November 16, 2020. Routes currently boarding on the Pearl Street side - Bays F and G - will be shifted to the interior of the center during new city park construction, expected to last approximately one year. New Hidden Ridge Station Buildout To Require Weekend Orange Line Closures, Effective November 2020

Due to ongoing construction of Irving's new Hidden Ridge Station, DART will temporarily suspend weekend rail service on portions of the Orange Line during November 2020. Passengers will be able to take shuttle buses between the affected stations and are encouraged to allow extra time. Projected weekend closure dates, including the Friday after Thanksgiving, are as follows, weather permitting: November 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 27-28-29: Irving Convention Center Station to North Lake College Station. The shutdowns will enable our contractor Archer Western to install overhead steel canopies at the new station, which is projected to open in late 2021. Weekday service will remain uninterrupted.
