Sidewalk Closure Next Phase in Downtown Garland Construction, Effective Monday, October 26, 2020

The third phase in Downtown Garland Station reconstruction begins Monday, October 26, with closing of the sidewalk along Fifth Street between the bus boarding area and rail platforms. Pedestrians will be directed to a temporary walkway between the two facilities. For passengers with disabilities, a shuttle bus will be provided during the estimated two-week duration of the project. The shuttle will operate between the Red Bus Stop sign (Bay 2) at the transit center and the Walnut Street passenger drop-off area on the north side of the rail station. It will remain in continuous service between 3 a.m. and 1 a.m. daily. Customers are reminded to use caution in and around construction sites and to obey all warning signs. Thanks for riding DART.

There will be a street closure of Cedar Springs Road between Oak Lawn Avenue and Welborn Street for a celebration of life and outdoor funeral service at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church. Bus Route 60 on Detour During Reconstruction Work on Lindsley Ave., Effective Monday, October 19, 2020

Repaving of Lindsley Ave. between Munger Blvd. and Beacon St. will require a detour of Route 60 to Grand Ave. from Monday, October 19 through mid-November. Buses outbound to South Garland Transit Center will travel regular route to Munger, then loop over R.L. Thornton service road, Grand and Beacon back to Lindsley. Trips inbound to Downtown Dallas Union Station will exit Lindsley at Graham Ave. to reach Grand and return over the same route. Buses will make no stops along the detour. The final block between Graham and Beacon will remain open during the initial phase of construction, then will be closed for repaving, requiring a second Route 60 detour sometime in November.

Emotet—a sophisticated Trojan commonly functioning as a downloader or dropper of other malware—resurged in July 2020, after a dormant period that began in February.
