On Thursday, November 28, the 2019 Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot will place a number of bus routes on detour. The race begins at 9 a.m. and will impact service in Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum and North Oak Cliff. Bus routes affected include: 2, 11, 12, 19, 21, 26, 29, 35, 42, 52, 59, 60, 76, 81/82, 110, 111, 161, 164 and 749. DART buses and light rail trains will operate on a Sunday schedule on November 28. In addition, DART Rail will operate three additional Red Line trains and one additional Blue Line train on Thursday morning due to the Turkey Trot. Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) customers should watch for schedule changes at the start of this year's Thanksgiving holiday weekend. DART buses and light rail trains will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thurs., Nov. 28, meaning many routes will be scaled back or won't operate at all, and on a Saturday schedule Fri., Nov. 29. The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter train will not operate Thanksgiving Day and provide Saturday service on Friday. DART's rail replacement project concludes Thanksgiving weekend. The 2019 Greater Dallas Veterans Day Parade on Monday, Nov. 11 will place a number of bus routes on detour beginning at approximately 11 a.m. and continuing through the duration of the parade. The parade route will begin on Houston at Young. It will continue on Houston, then east on Main, south on Ervay, west on Young, south on Akard to Dallas City Hall Plaza.
